No, just Saturday. There is one at the Civic Center on Sunday. It is not the same just smaller.

Nice place to get to know the local food.
Amazing. Even the Tuesday and Thursday have good produce
We stopped here last weekend and we bought a bunch of fruits and veggies. Their price is cheaper than the groceries we used to. My mom was very happy because there was a live band and she keeps on singing and dancing together with my father. A very fun place to visit! They had food stalls also, and everything they sell was delicious!
There were some farmers market stalls (on a Tuesday, when there was actually supposed to be a farmers market) but it was very underwhelming. The shops inside were nice but I think those are open every day. If you are used to pretty good farmers markets don’t come just for this.
Loved it. Get a wise guys lox on an everything bagel and meander the booths to shop the local goods. So great!
Very bustling dynamic yet crowded
Great assortment of local produce and food.
A must go when you are at San Francisco. The Farmers market sells fresh meats, organic vegs and fruits during weekend. Some stalls do give out sample/testers before you decide to buy. A lot bakery shops here. You can spent your morning looking around and exploring here
I wßs gonna buy some tomatoes but there was no tomato what I like, maybe there was no tomato.
Great experience and terrific local vendors! So fun!
Exspensive fun good food great views day or night.
Simply love it on Saturday mornings when there are so much stalls setup that sells fresh food and cooked food.
Visiting from out of town, and this is a fantastic farmers market. So many great food choices, and fresh produce. I will go back any chance I get
Take a ferry, take a buss, drive, or walk. Whatever your means of transportation are you need to experience the Ferry building's Farmer's Market. This is one of the best local events I've been to and it's always changing. Vendors come from all over to share what farm-fresh produce they have to offer. From fresh bread loaves, to seasonal vegetables, to hand-made sausages, and ice creams, this is the place to be.I try and do several loops knowing that there was something I missed. Make sure to walk around a couple times as the prices vary depending on the farmer's you go to - samples galore! Make sure to bring an appetite and take a break to grab lunch either at Gott's, Market Bar, Slanted Door, or any of the tent vendors from outside. There are TONS of food options here so you wont feel left with a lack of choice.Get there at 9am because the crowd comes quick.
Ferry Plaza Farmers Market open three times a week tue, thur, and sat sometimes with special appearance that of celebrity chefs. Don't be fool by thinking just the front of building, the back area lot is fill with vendors too. If you can't find something just don't give up there are shops inside the building itself too. Almost every vendor take cash, EBT, and wooden tokens. Demo cooking is another reason to get out here being able to learn a new recipe or so. So get your reusable tote and get going with your shopping. Lastly, parking isn't something I encourage here, but valet parking management is on duty.
Nice place with a fantastic view. The kimchi fried rice is worth a try.
ugh! too full to eat so going to take a ferry ride and back then GRAZE this place because everything looks so yummy
A little cold but food is always amazing
A wonderful way to spend Saturday morning!
Great spot for some local shopping. So much food and fare. Bring an appetite and your reclaimed bag-both will be satiated here! Catch a ferry, feed some pigeons, and admire the views. Our favorite was Gotts Roadside coffee flavored ice cream. Yum! If local organic is your vibe, the Ferry Plaza Market is a place to check out.
Great little market with a nice boutique feel. It’s. A market but a lot of the indoor food store/booths have a nice upmarket feel. Top produce, nice foods, snacks, drinks. A great place to walk through, grab coffee, buy gifts or dine
Lovely farmers market with lots of different products.
There is many. Some are small though.Biggest market I know. The market inside is always there. But this one is also on certain days of week like Thursday only food trucks for lunch. Just a tip.
This is a very good farmers market, tho' a little on the touristy side, and prices a little on the high side. Still, definitely worth strolling through and sampling the wares, if you're in the area on a day when it's going on.
Love this farmers market! The variety of booths and foods is awesome and there are cooking demonstrations as well. Tons of amazing fruit samples and great food booths as well to get something to eat while you browse!
Great selection of produce. Very reasonably priced. Good meats and fish.
Cute and touristy farmers market with a good variety of small cafes and restaurants to have a bite. You may buy some unique souvenirs here, oils, fine chocolate and mushrooms
A busy, always crowded place on the sea front, offering food and farm produce. Quite a worth, to the visiting foreigners, offering full view of agriculture and other farm produce. If the taste is good..... one can find long queues.... in front of quality offering restaurants and outlets.Spend good amount of money and time to have taste of it. For brewery buds... It's a place to check.
The person who ran this last Saturday's Hog Island Oyster (Person with full sleeve tattoos) was the embodiment of a community member, his interactions with regulars and those who were unfamiliar with oysters was something that was more akin to a conversation between longtime friends rather than a business transaction. Knowledgeable in varietals offered and willingness to open a conversation, I look forward to returning again!
Awesome...loved the view and place
A very fine Farmers Market, which benefits from having a year round supply of local seasonal produce. Prices similar but quality vastly superior to Whole Foods produce. Some very good bread& pastry, cheeses and meat as wellA good chance to talk to the farmer, or to find new vegetables to broaden your diet. Good food purveyors inside the Ferry Building as well. And then there are the food stalls providing freshly prepared meals - breakfast or brunch - to suit every taste.
A must stop for me everytime I am in town.Beautiful way to spend a Saturday <3MUST EAT!4505 Meats awesome cheeseburger, make it a double cheeseburger ;D I would say, the best burger in San Francisco Dont forget to order the yummy cripsy fries, with some mess on top. Damn gooding! Lots to see, too little time! MUST VISIT!I will also get some fruits that are in season <3
We really enjoy the weekend farmers market and the excellent vendors. While the prices can be a bit on the steeper side, you can taste the quality. Often times we enjoy having a blue bottle and sitting in the back watching the ferries come and go or enjoy our food to go and enjoy it at a near by pier. Make sure to bring your camera, this area is very photogenic!
Accessible by public transport, has a large selection of organic (spray-free) items.
Lovely place to visit on a Saturday. I enjoyed trying delicious empanadas, some award winning cheese, new-Orleans coffee, a fruit spritzer, and even bought a lovely set of bowls. I was very satisfied with my visit to the farmer’s market. Remember to come with an empty stomach so you can enjoy the delicious food and drinks!
Great place to hang out and enjoy yummy food especially if it’s a warm sunny day without wind. The food is great and there are lots of choices outside. Inside are the usual vendors that don’t disappoint either. Parking is scarce, but the BART Embarcadero stop is just down the street so getting there is easy.
Awesome variety of organic stuff here. Some really nice artist stands across the street as well. Be sure to try the salted almond toffee from G.L. Alfieri. It's so good! I wish I could order it online!
Fun place to eat, get coffee or browse. Beautiful views of the bay.
Lots of local produce and products many organic and absolutely fresh and delicious. Many of the vendors will let you sample their wares before purchasing them which is a nice touch. This is a very popular spot for residents and visiting foodies. Be prepared to pay cash as not all vendors accept credit. Despite that limitation this is a great place to experience a farmer's market.
Grea! Wonderful selection, happy friendly environment, quality vendors with reasonable prices. This is how used to be done and is a wonderful living history for our children
The Embarcadero in San Francisco is an awesome area to take in the feel and history of such an amazing city.We were able to visit the Farmers Market on Saturday which offers all kinds of items, which can make for great gifts for family and friends. The Embarcadero has something for anyone of any age. You can visit the Ferry Building or The Exploratorium or take a Cable Car. As well as get fantastic views of San Francisco and Alcatraz, Treasure Island, the Oakland-SF Bay Bridge, the city of Oakland, etc. There are parks along the way to let your pets stretch their legs and bike paths if you want to bike. And we followed the street up to Pier 39, 41, 43, and the Fisherman’s Wharf (all of which I have also reviewed). The whole area offers fantastic restaurants and other assorted eateries.
Nice market where you can find delicious food and sandwiches
I visited farmers market for the 1st time & was impressed with the fresh produce, different foods locally catered, & fresh flowers in addition to potted plants in vogue. The vendors are friendly & engaging. One can easily spend the morning starting with fresh pastries & ending with unusual farm fresh produce to go. Best to start early as it gets crowded & long lines to yummy food stations. You’ll know which food vendor is popular judging from the crowd.
Fresh and nice looking. Just a little bit expensive
Definitely one of the best farmers markets in the Bay Area. They have so many great, local vendors with fresh produce and goods like granola and ice cream. It’s easily accessible by Bart and Muni as well. It’s a great spot for Saturday morning shopping or Thursday afternoon lunch for those who work in FiDi.
For once I go to a farmers market that actually has produce! Unlike all I have been to before ( no matter the city) this one is not mostly made up of candle makers, herbal soap companies and other non foods are, but actually full of local delicious fruits and veggies! The food stations there are pretty amazing as well, but it's a great place to fill up on super yummy veggies and fresh ripe fruit too. I got a killer egg sando for breakfast while overlooking the bay - what more could you ask for
Beautiful restoration of a very historic building with many delicious places to eat.
Some very good places for food, coffee, beer, wine, etc. The view from my "secret spot" is also awesome. It is a food Mecca when you know the places that have the best stuff.
Even with construction the crowds are mostly unchanged. It's great because we've been going for years and have built up a relationship with one of the fruit farms who frequent the market, and we count on getting quality produce that our kids love to eat. The food tents have great variety and if you want to take it upscale you have many options inside the ferry building itself which is always bustling!
Artisanal and small business havon! The farmers market was full of fresh choices and inside there are many mouth watering choices. Just make sure to bring some extra cash as the prices tend to be high. But for the location and atmosphere, it really is worth the value.
